The overall ambition of PRISM is to go beyond the PedCRIN pilot, and to demonstrate the capacity of the PRISM consortium to provide high-quality end-to-end services to the design, planning and execution of pediatric clinical research projects, offering the pediatric community access to leading-edge methodologies, designs and technologies. As explained above, end-to-end support to multinational studies is made possible due to the two-stage evaluation, whereby short-listed projects receive support in the design and planning before the second evaluation step, then operational services during the execution. This represents optimal conditions for trial selection, and PRISM therefore acts as a demonstrator for the full-service pipeline for pediatric clinical research projects selected based on excellence.
