Description Imaging methods are substantially applied in diagnostics of anorectal dysfunction. Nowadays we have a wide range of imaging methods that allow us to assess the morphological aspect of pelvic structures, which are involved in rectal evacuation (ultrasound, CT, MRI). These methods are especially used for exclusion of organic causes of difficulties passing stools. Very useful are also methods that evaluate functional disorders of anorectal complex or in other parts of the digestive tube. From these methods, defecography and transit time method are of great importance for further diagnostic and therapeutic algorithm.
