Description After the constitution of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia steered economy and ration system was established. Also the branches of sugar and beet industry were included. The owners of sugar factories could deliver sugar only to certain purchasers, assigned by the state and for a price, which was also assigned by the state. Consumers could not buy as much sugar as they wanted, but only an amount they had their ration stamps for. Managing with sugar was controlled by the new established Czech and Moravian unit for beet and sugar, which prescribed a wide range of duties to its members (owners of sugar factories and producers of beet). This unit could also limit their activities or forbid them. The unit had to agree with establishing a new sugar factory.
