Description This paper deals with the plurality of values in law and excludes that this pluralism isidentical with nihilism. The position paper is that the law can not exist without values, only as a purely theoretical concept. At the same time, the presence of values raises difficulties of interpretation. However, despite the fact that there are several competing approaches to defining the content of values, it is still not the denial (which could be considered as nihilism). Nihilism should not be confused with pluralism especially because there are a number of social mechanisms to prevent the removal of the absolute values of the law.
