Description Following his Nouveau roman writings, Michel Butor pursues the way of experiments attempting to blur the boundaries between literary genres and particular art forms. The author aims to transpose images into text and to produce an aequal aesthetic effect, which is noticeable feature of his writing style. Butor's texts are heavy with visual properties at the expense of signification. The basic process is ekphrasis which has consequences that affect all levels of the text and even the status of the reader. To mimic the painting, the text is designed as a productivity which creates an infinite combinations and permutations of the matrix.
