| Description | Population growth in Africa causes ever greater demands for natural resources and energy to provide households with their everyday needs. Environmental problems, such as deforestation, soil degradation, water pollution and air pollution have been worsening. Climate change increases severity of droughts and floods, reducing food security. There is a simple, inexpensive, and sustainable technological solutions to many of these problems. The implementation of the solutions, however, is often fraught with socio-cultural barriers. |
