Description The paper deals with the taxonomic structure of cyanobacteria and algae in the aquatic habitats of restored section of the Bečva River, near Černotín village. Samples were collected five times during the 2005 vegetation season. They were collected from five pools of the river bed and from pools and riffles of stream. The work contains results on the quality and quantity of cyanobacteria and algae communities and some abiotic parameters of the water. Altogether, 130 taxa of cyanobacteria and algae were recorded (101 taxa in pools and 82 taxa in stream). The taxa of diatoms were the most abundant. There were not any strong differences in the taxonomic structure of cyanobacteria and algae between individual pools of the river bed. There were more taxa of cyanobacteria and algae in pools of stream than in riffles of stream. The distributional patterns of abundant taxa are discussed with respect to ecological links to environmental parameters.
