Description The paper deals with the regulation of dependant work in Italy and its comparison with the Czech law. The characteristic features of the expression dependant work that is the key term of labour law and that distinguishes labour law relations from legal relations regulated by other branches of law are analysed. Particular attention is paid to the relation of employer’s superiority and employee’s subordination and to the employee’s duty to perform work personally. Differences and similarities relating to definition of dependant work in legal orders of the Czech Republic and Italy are analysed with respect to particular features of labour law regulation of both states.
