| Description | The history of integration processes and the complex formation of united legal system including the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon show that there is a will to seek and find consensus within the EU. Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Baltic states joined the union, many hopes were fulfilled; however, euroscepticism persists. The future of the EU is related not only to economical development but also to the process of improvement of European civic society that is necessary for the ongoing integration. |
