Description This article aims to study The Quebec Gazette – La Gazette de Quebec, the oldest newspaper in French language in North America, as well as the oldest bilingual English-French periodical in the Welt. The first The Quebec Gazette – La Gazette de Quebec was published on 21 June 1794 by William Brown and Thomas Gilmore. It brought political and business news from Europe, Asia, North America and other countries. We analyse several news about the turbulent political situation in the Middle Europe in 1765- 1770. We also study the diversity of news in this weekly paper.
