Description This article describes a grave from the Corded Ware Culture excavated in Brankovice in 2007, on which a secondary manipulation has been well-observed and documented. In a further part of the paper some questions and problems connected closely to the multi-phase burial rite and especially secondary mortuary practices are discussed. Based on a significant number of such graves in Moravia from the Late Eneolithic, several possible interpretive models of these practices can be considered.
