| Description | The article is concerned with mapping of the current state in LMWH application process which is quite different in Czech Republic a/so because of the missing national standards for this kind of subcutaneous therapy. Main aim of the survey provides information on current pro-blems of application of LMWH on the basis of an exploratory survey among nurses who daily apply for anticoagulant therapy. The analysis of the results provides information on the quality of nursing care. The original questionnaire survey was carried out among 88 general nurses from one of the biggest Teaching hospital in the Czech Republic. The survey detects lack of knowledge or variations in procedures for handling anticoagulant therapy and especially in administration of LMWH injections. |
