| Description | The paper deals with the development of the right to strike, especially during the 20th century in the former Czechoslovakia. At first the attention is paid to period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. Based on the definition of the right of association the paper deals with the public law aspects of strikes and the consequences of strikes in the relationship between employer and employee. Next chapter focuses on the right to strike in the period between years 1948 and 1989. Consequently, the paper deals with the development of legal regulation of the right to strike after 1989. |
