Description The paper describes the changes in distribution of ostrich fern in the Valley of Brtnice Nature Reserve in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The study contains the results of field research in the years 2006 and 2011, when a total of 72 occurrences of ostrich fern were mapped in the Brtnice valley. The results of mapping were compared with data in specialized literature. It was discovered that ostrich fern expanded in the last 50 years to many new habitats and migrated along the river by more than 1 km. The location of the easternmost occurrence has moved by about 50 m between 2006 and 2011.
