| Description | The study deals with the degree of tempering musical intervals within Kirnberger's temperament and its detailed characteristics. The study is supplemented by intonation analysis of two Kirnberger' sonatas for Traverso and Continuo. The analysis is supported by a final debate on the importance of irregular temperament within the compositional practice of the second half of the 18th century. |
