Description The study deals with the chosen project of the well-known Czech conceptual artist Kateřina Šedá, and shows how she achieves the participation within a community life of selected municipality. Participatory art is characterized by cooperation of stakeholders and professional artists to engage participants in the artistic process. By using semi-structured interviews with Šedá and the participants of her events, certain positive socio-spatial effects of participatory techniques have been revealed. The conclusion of the study outlines the potential of the geographic participatory research and also shows the limits of selected creative techniques when applied through the methodology of geographical sciences.
