Description This workshop is designed to provide current and future lecturers of English in a university setting with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with principles of academic presentations in the context of language for academic purposes teaching. The programme is practical and largely non-theoretical. Participants will be actively involved in a series of individual and group tasks which will address areas such as academic speaking style, structural parts of academic presentations and their characteristics, processes, titles, and formal/informal register and communication. At the end of the session, the participants will be equipped with some useful teaching tools that will enable them analyse their teaching methods and techniques and improve their personal style in teaching of academic presentations.
