| Description | The review summarizes, compares and critically evaluates theoretical constructs, which deal with the inclusion of children into the interparental conflict. We review constructs based on the work of systemic therapist, such as triangulation, alliance, perverse coalition, parentification, and psychosomatization. Either, we review theories based on empirical work, such as parental alienation syndrome, emotional-security theory, and cognitive contextual framework. The first goal of this study is to evaluate the strengths and shortcomings of each theory regarding to its practical and empirical application. The second goal is to abstract enough complex, clear, and comprehensive definition, which embrace the principles of inclusion of children into interparental conflicts, both in non-divorce and divorce families, and serves as a baseline for further research. |
