Description Contact dermatitides belong to frequent diseases. They are divided into irritant dermatitides and aHergic contact dermatitides (contact eczema). Contact eczemas often arise on the ground of irritant dermatitis - biphasic origin of contact eczema. The most frequent complications include bacterial complications leading to impetiginisation, and/or to the development of microbial eczema. During the development of microbial eczema there most often occurs sensitisation to the antigens of Staphylococcus aureus; here the delayed-type hypersensitivity is applied similarly as with sensitisation to contact allergens. Microbial eczemas often proceed chronically or relapse, even though the primary cause of origin of an irritant dermatitis or the contact eczema has been eliminated.
