| Description | Change caused by communist takeover in 1948 significantly influenced the development of cultural life in Czechoslovakia for decades. Neither Czechoslovak film production did remain affected by the situation. In this short paper the partial issue of contemporary cinematography participating in building works of the new political elites will be presented the typification of characters, concretely the typification of female characters. On the specific films we will demonstrate the most common model of characters representing the new female tasks, which should have been fulfilled by a woman in the new system and which were presented to contemporary public as examples of right living in socialistic society needed to be followed. |
