|Disproportion in the development of gifted students and science education

|Motivation of gifted students is influenced by different factors. Disproportion in development of gifted students is one of them. For example, the teacher must consider whether gifted students, who have developed high cognitive abilities, have developed the necessary motor skills as well. We mention the most frequent disproportion and problems it can cause in science education. We present specific examples of how to respond appropriately to individual disproportion in biology, chemistry and physics teaching/learning.
