Description Gamification is the use of game elements in non-game environments. In this paper I discuss the possibilities of using gamification in knowledge management systems (KMS) design. Gamifying KMS can lead to higher employee engagement, higher contribution rates and better attitudes towards KMS. First, the concept of gamification is introduced and defined. Next, particular elements of gamified application are described and possible psychological drivers of successful KMS gamification are briefly discussed. Lastly, some considerations are proposed and concluding remarks are provided.
