| Description | The textbook focuses on the current knowledge of the theory and didactics of combatives for primary, secondary and tertiary levels of the education system. The text is aimed at future teachers, who are expected to be equipped with skills for quality instruction of combatives. The text’s starting point is the definition and systematics of combatives which have been created with regard to the educational objectives of the course. Students will use the textbook to become familiar with the structure of technical resources in the selected combatives and self-defence (aikido, judo, karate). As refined terminology is an important prerequisite for future teachers, the textbook places great emphasis on technical terminology. The basic facts of didactics of combative systems are followed up by the chapters on the organizational arrangements of combatives instruction and the safety principles of teaching combative activities in particular. To gain more knowledge students are encouraged to consult an extensive list of recommended study literature. |
