| Description | The concept of life trajectories operates in sociology with the aim to grasp the complex time-defi ned structures, in which relationships between diff erent points in time create interesting sociological topics. We apply a similar logic when working with parenting pathways – a segment of life course associated with parenting. This book mainly draws upon a unique data source, which is a dataset of all children born between 1993 and 2012 that allow us to monitor parental paths of women in the Czech Republic during the last 20 years. Longitudinal data in this format and range (an exhaustive fi le) has not been yet analyzed and off ers new perspectives in sociology and demography. |
