| Description | The work deals with material survey, conservation and restoration of two Oriental weapons from the collections of The South Moravian Museum in Znojmo. The weapons are Indian dagger saintie and Turkish yathagan with sheath. The museum obtained the weapons from Max Mayer Ahrdorff´s collection. The task was to restore the objects to be exhibited in the expositions of The South Moravian Museum in Znojmo. On the basis of the results of the material survey a conservation proposal was elaborated and the described intervention was subsequently performed. |
