| Description | One of the main issues of contemporary queer geography is the investigation of the relationship between gender, race, sexuality, embodiment, and space. This article focuses on queer and trans spaces, and the principles of their creation and maintenance. The first part introduces two ways of forming queer spaces at the international festival Queeruption and queer wagenplatz in Berlin. It outlines their character and mechanisms of functioning. The second part focuses on the possibilities of trans space in the Czech environment. It is concerned with the question of whether it is possible to talk about trans spaces in the Czech environment, what sort of character they have, to whom they are accessible and what the relationship between activism and creation of these spaces is. |
