| Description | Health Education is one possible solution is to prevent early the geriatric syndrome. In the prevention plays a key role in health education implemented in primary schools because of old age syndrome prevention begins in childhood (for example the prevention of atherosclerosis and osteoporosis). The Department of Health Education MU start the cooperation with the Department of Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Practical Medicine LF MU, with the aim to educate students of Health Education in the prevention of geriatric syndrome. The part of education is also a simulation (Geriatric syndrome simulation model) of physical changes (osteoporosis symptoms, muscle wakness, blindness, deafness, ankle stifness). This experience is leading to greater empathy for people in old age. |
