| Description | This paper is based on qualitative analysis of videorecordings of teaching practice and in-depth interviews with 8 student teachers during their long term practice. As a result, we describe three complementary roles of student teachers and their mentors. These roles differ in autonomy of student teachers and control of their mentor. |
