Description The paper deals with a qualitative analysis of a problem-oriented learning situation. We distinguish 7 phases of solving such situations and focus on the fundamental one – the analysis of a problem-oriented task (further POT). Using a conversation analysis, we will analyse a chosen part of a primary Science video-study. The microanalysis shows that despite the fact that the problem-solving process is framed by IRF exchanges, some of the pupils' interactions occur without teacher's initiation. The analysis is aimed at taking participants' turn during the analysis of POT which differs from common frontal instruction due to the pupils' interactions. The microanalysis of the selected part of the learning situation helps understand how the solving process of POT is realized in the instruction.
