Description Aim: Determine the quality of nursing care in some aspects and procedures while patients are hospitalized in surgical wards. Introduction: Nurses play an extremely important role in medical treatment, because they care for patients continuously twenty-four hours a day (taking care, assist and help, communicate often with patient, diagnose, detect and evaluate problems, prescribe and dispense medications). That is why most of the responsibility falls on them and is the reason to improve the quality of their services. This audit was performed in surgical units and evaluates several factors of quality of health care services provided by teaching hospitals.
