| Description | Today, more than ever before, the history of literature has been influenced by historical events and various ideologies and is biased towards the 'winners' more often than would be expected. This paper presents a brief introduction to the history of Czech samizdat and anti-communist literature by exiled authors of the second half of the 20th century. Firstly it describes how it was received by the communist regime and then how this period is covered in secondary school textbooks published after 1989. |
