| Description | States which formed in 1991, a firm connection with the Soviet Union after the collapse of Union became independent. In all three states was industrial restructuring and the shift to liberal-democratic approaches to again join in a "single entity" within the European Union. Northwest part of the East European Plain determines the landscape, which is riddled with history, culture and living traditions.
