Description The paper focuses on some traditional morphological topics (such as allomorphy, the interaction between the nominal stem and case ending, declensional types) in Finnish and presents possible application of cognitive grammar in their description and compares proposed solutions to earlier descriptions of Finnish inflectional morphology. The illative case of standard Finnish serves as an example.
