Description Extensive monitoring of The Red Flat Bark Beetle (Cucujus cinnaberinus) was carried out in the period from 6 Oct to 26 Nov 2017 (during a total of 15 excursions) on the territory of 10 faunistic grid squares covering the area of interest. Overall, the review was carried out at 266 pieces of wood (usually lying dead trunks with a bark) at a total of 31 localities mostly representing the habitat of the so-called soft alluvial forest. The larvae (or skins, beetles or beetles torsos) were found under the bark of a total of 51 positive pieces of wood (19.2%) at a total of 26 positive localities (83.9%) quite evenly spaced to the above mentioned 10 squares.
