Description | Mutations in the OPN1LW, OPN1MW and OPN1SW genes cause color defects. Proteins produced from these genes play an important role in color vision and are found in the retina. Suppositories contain a specific pigment (opsin photopigment) that is most sensitive to specific wavelengths of light. The brain combines the sensations of three types of suppositories into a physiological color vision. |
