Description Mezira tremulae (Germar, 1822) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aradidae: Mezirinae) is a rare flat bug species living in fissures or under loose bark of older stubs and trunks of different deciduous trees (Fagus, Populus, Fraxinus, Tilia, Juglans, Betula, Acer, Quercus) infested by fungi. It occurrs very rarely also on coniferous trees (Abies, Pinus). Only five localities were published from Slovakia until now, two of them older than 130 years (Trenčín surroundings, Sninský kameň Mt.) and three in 1956, 1960, 1968 and 1973 (Remetské Hámre, Horné Orešany, Malacky). In our paper, we presented three recent records, first from Bžany–Valkov in 2002 (eastern Slovakia), second from Drienčanský kras Karst in 2013 and last one from Kremnické vrchy Mts. in 2017 (both central Slovakia). Record from Bžany–Valkov represents the confirmation of occurrence of the species in Slovakia after 29 years (and also confirmation of its occurrence in eastern Slovakia), the second one from Drienčanský kras Karst represents the first record from central Slovakia and also the confirmation of occurrence in Western Carpathians after 53 years. Two of these records included more than ten specimens and therefore they represents also the confirmation of surviving populations in Slovakia. We evaluated also the distribution of species in some neighboring or geographicaly near countries a proposed the inclusion of the species in the Red List of Threatened Species of Slovakia in category "endangered".
