Description This article is dedicated to Wenceslaus III (1289–1306), the last king of Bohemia from the dynasty of the Přemyslid. Even though his reign lasted almost directly one year, Wenceslaus is still recognised as one of the most interesting monarchs of the Czech medieval history. His mysterious life so unexpectedly ended at the age of 16 by a hand of an unknown murderer. The picture of his life presented in this text is based on the information from historical sources and their brief reflection in the Czech historiography.
