Description | Early christian gold-glasses resulting from broken vessels were mostly founded in the roman catacombs, where they served as marker for some loculi. Analyzing the portraiture on gold-glasses, this article seeks to understand the iconographical sources of this type of objects as well as the reasons of their second use in funerary contexts. |
