| Description | The poster presents a research project that deals with linguistic politeness, specifically with speech acts of requests and apologies. It is a crosscultural project, its aim is to compare and contrast request and apology strategies used by Czech native speakers of English as their second language (L2) to the strategies applied by native speakers of English. The first part of the poster presents the theoretical background of the research, in the second part it focuses on the methodology and research design. |
