| Description | CEITEC MU linked the scientists with representatives of the public and private sectors at a unique workshop coming from industrial companies, grant agencies, journalists, politicians, but also students and civil society. Those who have something to say to the Open Science discussed recommendations for improving communication in as well as about the science. Almost four dozen experts and enthusiasts in open science debated ways and pitfalls in how to ensure regular flow of information between scientists, grant providers, and the public, and to connect them more. This is also related to the introduction of Open Access as a standard scientific practice in the Czech Republic or the making available of publicly funded research infrastructure so that it is genuinely shared. The panelists were divided into five moderated thematic panels so that each relevant section of the company would be represented in each section. Conclusions of the meeting, organized under the ORION project, will be presented to the Open Access working group with the participation of representatives of the Czech government. The recommendations will be used to prepare the Open Access Action Plan for the Czech Republic. |
