| Description | The introduction to the third part of the collective monograph of Bishop Karl von Lichtenstein-Castelcorno (1624-1695) deals with the variously motivated entries of the bishop into the construction business in Moravia in the second half of the 17th century. Author briefly presents bishops "advice" to monastic builders (Svatý Kopeček, church in Zábrdovice, Dominicans in Olomouc), shows the importance of the bishop's "aesthetic community" in constituting his personal taste, and finally recalls the lesser-known responses of the bishop's artistic patronage in his family and close, friendly surroundings. |
