| Description | In France, the ban on covering the face in public has been in place since 2011, and this measure is aimed primarily at Muslim women wearing burqas and niqabs. Across Europe, states are now taking action against the spread of the COVID pandemic. In a situation where the wearing of masques is mandatory, the legal regulation of the full-face veils has lost its effectiveness. |
