| Description | The contribution will deal with the regime and management of assets in unmarried cohabitation, acquired by one or both partners together. An unmarried couple can form an enduring personal and property community, similar to marriage, but different in legal regulation of acquiring property, obligations, and property management. As part of the contribution I will analyse a property rights issues arising with regard to the management of the assets of unmarried partners, in particular the acquisition and liability regime, the management of the assets of partner or both partners. I will also focus on liabilities that may arise when managing assets between partners. These proprietary issues will be compared with management of joint property of spouses, focusing on differences and their impact on the unmarried partners. |
