Description The site of Vasseny (Aisne) delivered a small lithic corpus attributed to Blicquy/Villeneuve-Saint-Germain which was ideal to the development of a study method on simple productions. The status of these productions remains poorly defined to this day, both in their nature and their production methods. Thus, it is even the level of know-how of the knappers which remains at present discussed. However, the anthropological implication is important for the restitution and the interpretation of the organization of the productions within the Blicquy/Villeneuve-Saint-Germain. In the current state of the data, a strong variability seems to be apparent through the study of these simple productions. These, subject to stabilization of the study method coupled with a multiplication of analyses, could contribute to distinguish chronological or identity subgroups overlaying the different technical traditions identified for the blade production of the Blicquy/Villeneuve-Saint-Germain populations.
