Description The presentation depicted energy poverty as a multidimensional, dynamic, and cross-cutting issue beyond the traditional triad of "low income - high cost - poor energy efficiency." It discussed how to tackle such a multidimensional issue and illustrated difficulties to grasp the issue in the Czech case. There are two types of policies capable of addressing the issue in the Czech Republic. They are, however, not designed primarily for that purpose. So far, measures have not lived up to their full potential except for some good practices at the national and regional levels. There is a tendency to treat energy poverty as general poverty, as they are very close. However, in reality, the match is often imperfect. The presentation also touched on the energy poverty framing in the Czech Republic, which largely follows the wider ideological debate on poverty.
