| Description | This unit will cover the most common aspects we might encounter when using GIS in an archaeological excavation. We will learn basic GIS principles and best practices on managing spatial data (concerning interoperability between various software). We will demonstrate the digitization and visualisation of raster and vector data. One of the strengths of GIS is the creation of digital maps. We will show how to create professional-looking outputs. |
