Description In our descriptive research of four case studies we review how art workshops may help prevent or mitigate results of severe stress during the integration process by supporting human’s psychological needs. In examining our collected data, we con- sider digital media to be suitable for working with all age groups and a proper medium for adult participants and adolescents who would not feel comfortable expressing themselves using traditional media. Additionally, digital media could be a beneficial form of self-expression for those who are not allowed to depict human figures due to their religious attitudes. Above that, the expressive character of some art mediums can be helpful in overcoming language and communication barriers.
