| Description | The paper deals with an influence of a local government on prisons and convicted persons in the Czech Republic. In my opinion there are two areas (at least) where the influence may occurs. The first of them is the area of disciplinary proceedings. If a Czech prisoner breaks rules issued by local government of a city where a prison is placed, he or she can be prosecuted in this type of proceeding conducted by a prison. The second area is the municipal prison regulation. There may be a conflict of interest between a local government (an economic interest) and the state (the purpose of imprisonment). The article mainly focuses on these two fields. |
