Description One of the first European states to open the veil issue was France. The state regulated the issue based on legal regulation of religious symbols in the education system. The analysis of current legal regulation concluded that France’s restrictive measures are based on strict secular state values. However, through restrictive measures in the education system, France is able to enforce citizens’ principle. The author in this article argues that recently adopted moderate legal integration instruments could effectively lead to original goals which had been sought through veil restriction in the education system.
