Description The research presented in this contribution examines whether the level of spoken language (more precisely its accuracy and complexity) of the students of an online course of French has been improved by a detailed reading beforehand. We firstly show concrete examples of expressions used in the texts studied, before looking, secondly, if these expressions are found in the oral discourse of the students, and if their use influences the spoken accuracy and complexity of the language.
